Projecting as a Broadcaster: Screen Test and Behind the Scenes

You need more than just skills to be a broadcaster. It's all about visuals too.

I wasn't a fan of makeup before. But that was until the pandemic came, and I was forced to look for a new hobby before I died of boredom. And what a happy coincidence that we're now required to do our own makeup for our broadcasting assignment.

During my photoshoot, I was staying with some relatives due to personal reasons. Unfortunately, that meant I didn't have the luxury of having my vanity table. Instead, I was limited to what my beauty pouch could carry. But that didn't stop me from looking gorgeous.

I used a combination of BTLA and L.A. GIRL products to create that natural, no-makeup look. And thankfully, I had my trusty pocketable mirror with me.

Broadcast journalists are not only expected to sound good on air. They also need to look just as good. I was very excited when our professor told us that we needed to groom and dress like respectable news anchors. I enjoyed this experience, and I wish we would do more of these assignments in the future.
